Viñas Extremas Sauvignon Blanc | Vino de La Carrera

This wine reflects the identity of the estate from which it originates, where unique soil and climate conditions allow this Sauvignon Blanc to showcase its full potential. The vineyard is located in the extreme region of La Carrera in the Uco Valley, at 1,700 meters above sea level. It is planted on loamy-clay soils with organic matter, supported by a subsoil of calcareous gravel, in the coldest area of Mendoza. In our vineyards, we do not use herbicides or systemic products, maintaining an agroecological approach to vineyard management.

A pre-fermentation skin maceration is carried out for five days at low temperatures. Fermentation takes place in French oak foudres with indigenous yeasts at temperatures between 14°C and 16°C. Aging continues in French oak foudres for eight months.
