Riccitelli & Father was born from the collaboration between Matías and his father, Jorge Riccitelli, with the goal of enhancing Malbec from old vineyards in traditional regions while capturing the intensity that Cabernet Franc develops in our mountain soils.

This blend, 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Malbec, comes from our finest parcels on calcareous soils in the Gualtallary GI, Uco Valley. In our vineyards, we do not use herbicides or systemic products, maintaining an agroecological approach to vineyard management.

Vinification includes 20% whole clusters, while the remaining grapes are destemmed. The grapes are naturally transferred by gravity into small concrete vats, where fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts at temperatures between 26°C and 28°C. A very gentle cap management technique is used to ensure a slow extraction. Aging takes place in oak foudres for 16 months.
