In the Alto Valle of Río Negro, there is a history of forgotten grape varieties, old vineyards that still withstand the passage of time, treasures that our project in Patagonia aims to rediscover and appreciate. In this area of great potential for grape varieties such as Semillón, the grapes are grown organically and naturally, as Patagonia’s ecosystem allows. Our project showcases Argentina’s great potential across its entire geography. In our vineyards, we do not use any herbicides or systemic products, managing them in an agroecological way.

NEW RELEASE!

Vino de Crianza Biológica

Flor is 70% Semillón and 30% Pedro Giménez from old vineyards planted in the late 1960s, on own-rooted vines in loamy soils from Allen and Ing. Huergo, two traditional areas of Río Negro. These are very low-yield vineyards.

We vinify with destemmed clusters and then perform a skin maceration for 5 days at low temperature. Fermentation takes place in French oak foudres, fermented with native yeasts at temperatures between 16º and 18ºC.

One of our vineyards in Patagonia is located in the middle valley, where the Río Negro forms “the big island,” a river island with a unique microclimate. These vineyards were planted in the early 1950s with the aim of making cold-climate wines. Today, we are reviving these high-potential vineyards, which were forgotten for many years, to bottle this extreme landscape of Patagonia, Argentina.
